Reduce the Level of Stress in the Family

Stress is the part and parcel of one’s day to day life. Though a little stress is necessary in one’s life because it makes a person mentally strong and well prepared for all the situations in life. Thus makes a person really strong. A person can overcome his fears by handling a little amount of stress in life. But as everything should be in a limit. Excessive stress can lead to depression and anxiety. Thus it affects even the health & mind of the individual. There can be number of ways by which a person can reduce the level of stress. These are as follows:

A) One must laugh at all the Funny Quotes found in the family magazine: the funny jokes that one reads in the magazine can bring a smile on everybody’s face. Such light moments can reduce the level of anxiety & depression. These quotes are always filled with humor and fun thus liked by all. These converts all the serious moments into light and fun filled moments. Any family sitting together and enjoying together is good for making the bond between all the members really strong.

B) Exercises: daily exercising is really very useful to reduce the level of stress. One must do regular yoga and deep breathing so as to make things really easy. One should follow a routine of exercising daily for at least half an hour. A person can see a noticeable change in the stress level. One could be able to handle their stress effectively. Thus a person’s muscle relaxes to a great extent and thus has a better and relaxed good night sleep.

C) Meditation: meditation is one effective method to reduce the level of stress in a person’s life. This is the simplest way to get rid of the stress level and anxiety in any person’s life. It has been followed since hundred years all over the world. Meditation can be practiced by any person. It does not require rigorous training period. One just needs to be determined to follow meditation. It can be done at any time of the day but morning should be preferred. This is very an inexpensive method to reduce the level of stress in any person’s life.

D) Reading: if one reads continuously one can overcome their stress level and can control their depression level and anxiety. A person gains a lot of knowledge by reading and is able to deviate one’s mind from all the tensions. A person should read family books so as to learn new ways of bringing all the members of the family close to each other. Good books motivates a person to do right thins in life thus even increase a person’s moral values and thus help a person become a better person in life. Thus even the family life of the person becomes much better.

E) Massage: Massaging is one more effective way to get rid of stress. A person is able relax all his muscles by going for a massage.

If you have just met, talk about the place where you both are. Is the food good? Is the music great? These are all wonderful conversation starters for shy people.

2) Asking Other People About Themselves

Generally, a person likes to talk about himself or herself.  So by asking questions like “Where did you go to school” or “What kind of movie do you like?” you are capturing their interest; and at the same time, you’re keeping yourself away from the center of attention.

Just make sure you listen to every word they say, because appearing distracted may offend the other party.

3) Newsmakers and Breakers

One of the great conversation starters for shy people is current news. What’s the current trend? What’s happening in the business world? Any new scientific discoveries? Talk about news that affect both of you and start from there.

One thing you should avoid raising in a conversation is anything that has to do with religion, politics, legal system, etc. These topics are usually very sensitive and you don’t really want to take a dip in that pool on your first meeting. Besides, talking about topics like these make arguments more likely to happen than not. You may feel strongly about a certain religion, and the other person may also have a strong yet opposite point of view regarding the issue. In these cases, it’s probably best to just stick with light topics that won’t get you into trouble.

Since we’re talking about news here, you’ll be less focused on how shy you are and more into the actual conversation. You might not even realize how many hours you have been talking about a particular issue.

These are just some of the possible conversation starters for shy people. Once you’ve tried some of them on actual experiences, you’ll feel more confident at exploring other topics of interest.

Peace and Joy: The Next Twelve Commandments

Many people honor the Ten Commandments and try to live by them. The belief is that a long, long time ago, God gifted us with these guidelines. In this more complex world, we can use twelve more to steer us in positive personal and global ways.

The following are my ideas for the next Twelve Commandments. To be consistent with the first ten, I started with “Thou Shalt.” However, if you have a problem with that, just read the rest of the sentence. Your hearts will probably resonate with these positive courses of action that help create peace and joy.

1. Thou Shalt Be Free to Be Thy Unique Self.

When we are being and expressing who we are, we feel happy and fulfilled. This means exploring our interests, desires, skills and talents and deciding what is right for us. Effective parents help us have high self-esteem, inspire us to be who we are and then support us to live our unique lives, just like mother birds encourage their babies to fly from the nest when they can.

2. Thou Shalt Speak Thy Truth In A Loving Way.

It is more important how we say something than what we say. When we begin our communication with “I” we take responsibility for what we are saying. Speaking from our hearts with kind words is very powerful, because people can hear us and feel good about what we are saying.

3. Thou Shalt Focus On Being Kind and Loving.

Positive words and actions are contagious. Be the person you want others to be. If you want your partner, children and others to be kind and loving then act that way with them.

4. Thou Shalt Allow Thyself Abundance and Share.

Prosperity is your birthright and you deserve abundance. There is a belief that the more you give, the more you receive. It also feels so good to give to others unconditionally.

5. Thou Shalt Forgive Thyself and Others.

Revenge and holding grudges will hurt you. Accept that we are all human beings, hopefully learning from our mistakes. It is very healing to forgive others and yourself.

6. Thou Shalt Seek Win-Win Solutions.

If both parties are not okay with the solution, then, it will not be effective. No one likes to lose. It is best if all parties involved feel heard, considered and okay with the decisions.

7. Thou Shalt Respect All People’s Beliefs.

Everyone is entitled to their beliefs. When we honor them, we have more peace and harmony. Be open to accept other people’s opinions. You do not have to understand everyone’s beliefs, but it is important to respect them.

8. Thou Shalt Accept Everyone As Global Family.

We are all human and have the same basic emotional and physical needs. When we accept everyone as our brothers and sisters, we will live in a wonderful, peaceful world.

9. Thou Shalt Honor and Take Care of Mother Earth.

Planet Earth is our home. If we devastate it, we will also destroy ourselves. To truly live a healthy life, we need a healthy earth that is kept clean and considered in everything we do.

10. Thou Shalt Balance Thy Life Between Work and Play.

In order to be healthy and happy, we need to balance our lives. We are actually even more effective and efficient when we take the time to play and rejuvenate.

11. Thou Shalt Be Healthy, Happy and Fulfilled.

We are not here to struggle and suffer. It takes healthy, happy people to make a healthy, happy family, neighborhood, city, state, country and world.

12. Thou Shalt Live in Love, Joy, Peace and Harmony.

I believe that our God Beings, whoever and whatever that is for us, wants us to live in love, joy, peace and harmony. We are a microcosm for the macrocosm of the world. If we all choose to live this way, we will create a loving, peaceful world.

Living from the 22 commandments can help us all live better lives and enjoy peace on earth. Each one of us has the power to make a difference. These guidelines can help you create the joyful life and world you desire. Go for it!

How do I take action on my goals?

Many people who desire success often get stuck at the vision stage. It may seem that they know what success looks like to them. They visualize their success and know what it will feel like. Yet, they don’t become successful. Why not?

They haven’t taken the next step. The next step to creating a successful life is to take powerful, significant action. You must act effectively to create the life of your dreams.

In the Science of Getting Rich, Wallace Wattles asserts that “If there is something that may be done today and you do not do it, you have failed insofar as that thing is concerned – and the consequences may be more disastrous than you imagine.”

He also states that “You cannot foresee the results of even the most trivial act. You do not know the workings of all the forces that have been set moving in your behalf. Much may be depending on your doing some simple act, and it may be the very thing which is to open the door of opportunity to very great possibilities.”

To create success you must do all that can be done each day. However, don’t work too hard. Don’t try to do a week’s work in a day nor do tomorrow’s work today. This isn’t efficient action for it reflects scarcity thinking, the fear that you won’t have the time to do tomorrow’s work tomorrow.

Instead hold a clear mental image of your vision firmly in your mind. Focus on what it will feel like when you have the income to send your children to private schools or to give to your favourite charity. Visualize yourself joyfully writing the cheque to the agency. Thank God for the thriving business that you are creating.

As you do, you enter into a state of relaxed expectation, for you are certain that your goal is being manifested. You are calm and enthusiastic about the life that is unfolding before you. You are confident that it is on its way to you.

Consequently you can take action that prepares you to receive your vision. You act from the certainty that your vision is coming to you.

As you think about your mental image, you return to the enthusiasm and excitement about your goals. You fall in love with your goals again and these feelings empower you as you take action.

God reveals the specific action that you should take and you act from a place of inspiration. This perception change how you act to achieve your goals. You no longer have to focus on what you think you should do.

As you concentrate on your vision, enthusiastically thanking God for your goals, you will be shown the exact action that you must take. As you take that action with the certainty that you goal is coming to you, the vision is made manifest.

Your powerful actions lead to the creation of a joyful, successful life! Enjoy your journey to success!
