The Importance of Masterminding

Posted by mallton on June 30th, 2009

“No two minds ever come together without, thereby, creating a third, invisible, intangible force that may be likened to a third mind.” The driving force and the ninth step toward riches in Napoleon Hill’s book, Think and Grow Rich is the Power of the Mastermind. We gain power through the “Master Mind,” which he defines as “Coordination of knowledge and effort, in a spirit of harmony, between two or more people for the attainment of a definite purpose.”

If we ponder a challenge on our own, we access our personal experience and knowledge. Adding another mind to solve the challenge adds their personal experience and knowledge. The accumulated experience and knowledge of two or more people grows the solutions to your challenges exponentially.

Parents know that who their children “hang out” with has a huge influence on their children’s decisions and choices. Why would that change when we become adults? Whom we surround ourselves with impacts us in all areas, financially, mentally, spiritually, physically, and emotionally.

Have you ever heard that a person’s income is the average of his or her five closest friends? What is the average for your five closest friends? How close is that to your income? I’m not sure who are the five closest friends to Oprah, Trump, or Bill Gates, but it would be safe to say that they surround themselves with people who help take them to the next level. Are the people you are choosing to spend your time with uplifting you? Are you uplifting to them? Hill endorses this: “We take on the nature and the habits and the power of thought of those with whom we associate in a spirit of sympathy and harmony.”

We become like the people we associate with. Therefore, the first question to ask is, “Who do I want to become?” If you don’t know who you want to be, what you want to do, and what you want to have, how can you know who to associate with?

For example, let’s say you answer that the two things you want most are better health and more money. Next, look at your “inner circle” of the five closest friends/associates. In the physical arena, are these people thinking healthy thoughts, speaking healthy words, and doing healthy activities? If not, find another group who will help you gain the health you desire.

The same process applies to money. If your closest influences are lack-minded, poverty thinking victims who have no goals because they believe that other factors than their own thinking determines their financial situation, run as fast as you can away from these vultures. They will eat you alive! Find sources of people who are prosperity minded and take personal responsibility for their lives, especially their financial situation.

Masterminding is the Law of Attraction in action. As you become clearer on your goals and aspirations, you will notice people and other influences, particularly, TV and newspapers, and begin to eliminate those from your life. If someone very close to you, such as a parent or spouse, is toxic, it may be difficult to ignore his or her influence. However, choosing to surround yourself with the group that will take you where you want to go makes it easier to stop listening to those negative beliefs and replace them with ones that will help you on your path.

Becoming consciously aware is a very important first step. You have the power of choice. You can choose which people, books, TV shows and thoughts you allow in your life. When you do, you will take your life to a much higher level and start accomplishing your goals and dreams.

How to Heal Depression

Posted by mallton on June 30th, 2009

Are you tired of feeling depressed? Would you like to find out the causes of this draining emotion so that you can heal yourself? Early in my practice as a Marriage and Family Therapist, I learned some very interesting aspects of this debilitating emotion that robs us of our health and happiness.

To begin with, I discovered from my clients that depression is anger turned inward. Anger is a secondary emotion. Under this feeling is fear, hurt, and/or powerlessness. I also learned that there are only two basic emotions and they are fear and love. All other emotions are either fear-based or love-based. It is easy to tell the difference. Fear constricts our bodies and does not feel good. In fact, it is the cause of stress and anxiety. Love expands our bodies and feels great.

Therefore, the cause of emotional depression (there are also medical causes) is basically fear. However, that is not the bottom line. To go deeper, I discovered that our fears are caused by our negative decisions that are made from our negative experiences. My goal in the process I developed, HART, which stands for Holistic And Rapid Transformation, is to help clients identify their fear-based experiences and thoughts and to change them to positive ones, so that they can feel good.

For over 28 years, I have had tremendous success with this process, because it quickly gets to the causes of depression and any other problems. No matter what the issues were for the clients, I always looked for the negative decisions that caused them to live in fear and have low self-esteem.

For example, John, a forty-three-year-old successful lawyer, was referred to me by his friend. All of John’s money could not stop him from suffering from depression. The emotionally struggling man could not seem to grasp the happiness he desired. The lawyer had problems with relationships, family members and friends. Nothing seemed to make him happy. He was miserable.

As I do with all clients, I looked for the negative thoughts that were tormenting him. With the HART process, they were easy to find. We are unique, and our problems are not. John made many common negative decisions based on his painful childhood. His mother was emotionally unavailable, and his Dad was an alcoholic.

From the verbal and physical abuse and lack of love and support, John decided that he was bad, not good enough, unimportant, unlovable, unworthy, and unattractive. All of these beliefs were not true, but F.E.A.R is False Evidence Appearing Real.

Typical of children, little John took responsibility for all the pain in his family, and he felt helpless and hopeless to help them. All this hurt his self-esteem. Even though John was an adult living on his own for many years, he, like all of us, was still being affected by his past.

Once John was able to release those fear-based thoughts and change them to positive ones, his self-esteem improved. He smiled as he said, “Helene I feel better and more hopeful.” I taught John how to identify his depression, anger, fears, and negative beliefs, and how to release them constructively with the HART process. I reminded him that he was okay, no matter what people said or did. I helped him realize that he had the power to attract what he wanted with his new positive beliefs (The Law of Attraction).

Six months later, I received a phone call from John. He happily told me that he felt good, and he had a loving relationship with a wonderful woman. “Helene, when something negative happens, I no longer take responsibility for it. It feels so good not to be depressed.”

If you suffer from depression, you can also help yourself overcome that debilitating emotion. Even if you are taking medication, it is still important to deal with the emotional causes by releasing your negative thoughts and changing them to positive ones. When you raise your self-esteem, you can also raise your head up high and say, “I am depressed no more!”

The man is with endless desires and wishes

Posted by mallton on June 29th, 2009

The man is with endless desires and wishes.

There is none on this earth who can declare that he could fulfill all his wishes and desires.  The man is still struggling and still praying for one thing or the other and none is satisfied with his life.  actually all this progress and achievements which this man could cover those had been possible only because he had been wishing and desiring one this or the other in his life and therefore, we have concluded that necessity is the mother of all inventions and had this man been satisfied with his lot, there could have been no progress in the fields of science and technology.  Therefore, the process of these desires and wishes taking birth in the mind of man must continue and the man shall be going ahead.  Whether the man shall reach his destination, we cannot say anything, but we can say that these desires and wishes must be taking birth in the mind of the man and he shall be inventing and discovering more and more on this earth.

The man is struggling and is coming out with new inventions and discoveries each day and since the process of communication has become fast, all parts are informed about the new inventions and discoveries and within days, the whole humanity starts enjoying the benefits of new inventions and discoveries.

This man started from stone age and now this man is exploring the skies and there could be chances that he shall be establishing on more planets and shall be discovering people like him and shall be having relations with them.  This is one side of the man and on the other had, it is on record that this man can destroy whatever he has created and established on this earth.  The man could manufacture such war-heads which can destroy this earth and this mankind itself.  Therefore, we cannot say anything about the will of this man and we cannot say that this man shall be going on the right path.  We have seen that all the religions had been giving him good guidance, but still this man has not stopped fighting nor he has stopped killing his fellow-beings.

The man is going ahead, but still this man does not know what is his destination in life.  The man is following the traditions and the achievements of one generation ae being utilized by the next generation and the process is still going on.

The wishes of the man must never be fulfilled and this man should never be satisfied with his life because when such a stage is reached, the progress of this man shall stop and he shall make this life a Hell.  This man should remain unsatisfied and new desires and wishes must be taking birth in his mind and in his heart and he must continue planning new things in his life.  The people who pray that they should get all and they must life a satisfied life should be condemned.  All must pray that new desires and wishes must be taking birth so that they could struggle and go ahead.

Reiki All Day Long

Posted by mallton on June 28th, 2009

If you had met me as little as five years ago, you would have met a hard-working, level headed, successful owner of a faux finishing business, wife and mom. My feet were very firmly in what I called ‘the real world’. I have always had firm faith in my God, held the belief that all things are possible and that a positive attitude was necessary for success in the world. Together with my husband I raised three level headed sons and truly believed that life in the real world meant dealing with events head on just plugging through. I also thought that those who were interested in anything new-age lived in the ‘woo-woo’ world. If you had asked me my opinion I would have patiently explained that these folks just didn’t get it.

What a difference a few years makes. My hard work ethic led to a torn rotator cuff in my shoulder and pretty much put an end to my faux finishing business when surgery resulted in a partial recovery. At around the same time I was experiencing incredible stress in my personal life for a variety of reasons. Enter Reiki.

The first time I experienced Reiki I did so to pretty much shut up one of my sons. He was of course aware of the shoulder pain and stresses in my life and he knew how I felt about taking medication, which was pretty much that I avoided it unless absolutely necessary.

My first Reiki session resulted in great pain relief and a general relaxed feeling of well being. I was so surprised and pleased that I told anyone who would listen about my experience. I continued to go and soon realized that there was something to this ‘woo-woo’ stuff. I won’t pretend that I understood how or why it helped me, but it did and that was good enough for me.

Fast forward a few years. I continue to receive Reiki as often as possible. I have become a Reiki master and added Reiki to my business, so that many of my clients receive not only holistic life coaching but Reiki as well. This benefits me, my clients and everyone that any of us associate with on a daily basis.

I have come to realize that those people I had always thought just didn’t get it, did indeed get it much better than I. I have learned to appreciate and respect the positive attitude that always came naturally to me, for I now know that same positive attitude and belief in a positive future is what creates that wonderful future. I have always trusted my gut, but I didn’t know why. I now realize that instinct and intuition; gut responses, are gifts that we all have and that our lives are generally much better if we trust them. My new friends and colleagues are not out there as I always believed; in fact they are generally some of the most grounded people I’ve ever met.

Reiki has now become something that I use all day, everyday. I offer Reiki to my gardens when I am outside, planting or simply walking through the path. My dog Indy receives Reiki several times a day. It’s become second nature to offer Reiki to anyone who is feeling less than well, to offer Reiki to my husband when he stubs his toe or has a headache. In fact it now feels completely normal to offer Reiki to my husband as we fall asleep at night and first thing in the morning. I send distant Reiki to my grown sons living far away, to family and friends on a daily basis and to the world at large for peace and health.

I will always have a foot firmly planted in what I used to call the real world, that’s my background, my personal history and it helps me to connect many of my clients, family and friends. I truly appreciate and am grateful for that. This new-age world that I am coming to appreciate more each day is not new at all. These friends and colleagues help me to embrace and appreciate the past, my present and my future.

Reiki has helped me to appreciate both my old and new friends. I am so grateful. I now say with great love and amazing respect that I do embrace the woo-woo and I encourage others to do the same.

Warmly,
Sandy

Why do I hate hypocritical religious leaders? 6/26/09

Posted by mallton on June 27th, 2009

Copyrighted 6/26/09

Everyday we face very important challenges in our lives.  These challenges are either created by our own doing or by the circumstances beyond our control.  However, we deal with them and try to face them as expeditiously and amicably as we can to over come all issues and to succeed in our lives.

At the same time, some of our decision making senses are influenced by others whom we “THINK” we should trust.  Yet, we forget the first and most important rule of “TRUST”.  It is “Trust no one but the one who created you.”  Some call  “Creator”, God, Allah, the Supreme Being or whatever your heart and mind desire.

If we all know the saying, “Trust No one!” then, why is it that we human beings do the opposite of what we were told since birth?  Why do we forget, the one in charge and instead rely on the creator’s creation only to be deceived.?

As I have repeatedly stated in my articles, I am not a politician and am not trying to give a political view.  However, I hate it when idiots such as Pat Robison and other so called religious leaders around the world repeatedly misguide people (their audiences) and fill those wonderful minds with nonsense, lies and misrepresentations.  Every religion has its share of idiots who wish to misdirect people from the truth.  If the holy book of any religion shares the same concept of the “Ten Commandments” then, here is a list of my questions to you, the wonderful readers:

1.    What difference does it make what religion I follow?

2.    Why do I need to believe in a religion in order to believe in God, Allah, the Supreme Being, etc.?

3.    Why do I need to believe in the Mighty God through some liars and deceivers (calling themselves “religious leaders”?

4.    Why do I need to go to a building in order to believe or worship the one who created me, especially since every religion claims, “GOD IS EVERYWHERE.”?

I said the above to bring your attention to the bull crap I have heard coming out of several religious leaders in the heart of the bible belt in the deep south of the United States of America.

We have repeatedly seen how the religious leaders whom we should “trust”“Trust” have repeatedly let us down and we continuously forgave them only to see them do the same again and again.  When does it stop?

Let’s understand one of the items of the Ten Commandments.  “Thou shall not commit adultery.”  It was brought to Moses, the profit of the Jews, and written repeatedly in the Bible for Christians and later in the Q’uran for the Muslims.

When Bill Clinton had his affairs in the office, practically most democrats and ALL republicans hated him and wanted him out of the oval office, and the religious leaders stated that he “sinned”.   In fact, Mark Sanford, the Governor of South Carolina was at the forefront of requesting to have Bill removed from the office, because of the one time event in the Oval office.

Now, the same good ol’ boy Mark, at the heart of the bible belt south who also claims to have a very high standard, ethics and with integrities shot through the roof, a person who does not want to use the U.S. “handout” of stimulus checks as a petty for his state, travels outside the country over 2,000 miles to commit repeated adultery, and yet claims to be very religious.

What insults my intelligence, is that fact.  Then, we have idiot religious leaders take over the broadcasting media and claim that God is forgiving him and you (God’s’ creations) should too.

So, let me understand this by asking again:

1.     Why should I believe in the Bible?

2.    Why should I believe the religious leaders?

3.    What happened to all of that honesty and integrity?

4.    Could all of this religious mumbo Jumbo be hoaxes,  with the intent to misguide you and I?

Could it be that when politicians enter public offices, they think that they are above the law and that they are untouchable; therefore, they are entitled to break the law and the ten commandments; however, if you and I break the law, we will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law?

It is a shame (Mr. Pat Robinson) how some people in power, mislead and misguide us for their own personal or party affiliation gains.
